Delletec Surgical Procedure Simulators were started in 1985 by Louis Dellefave. The purpose of the company was to manufacture high quality, affordable surgical simulators for use in surgical technology and surgical assisting programs. In its 40 years of operations, Dellefave, along with his wife Sam, grew the company to both a national and international customer base of community colleges, technical/vocational proprietary schools and teaching hospitals.
In 2024, after a decade of work in the workforce development and post-secondary proprietary education, Dr. Jereka Thomas-Hockaday, William Hockaday, and Mikal Williams acquired the customer upon the Dellefave retirement and renamed it Delletec 2.0 Educational Services. The new name provided the trio with the opportunity to expand consulting services to campuses for the purposes of curriculum development, financial analysis, accreditation, and legal compliance.
In 2026, Texas Health And Trade Technical Institute, a non-profit division of the company, was opened. The campus offers certification and apprenticeship programs in the trades to students in rural areas in hybrid format to help them to stay close home while building a career and new way of life for their families.
